The Ongoing Investigation Of Happy Face Killer’s Last Victim

Officials are seeking the public’s help in identifying the last victim of the Happy Face Killer. Keith Hunter Jesperson or the Happy Face Killer, is a long-haul trucker serving multiple life sentences for killing eight women.

The Happy Face Killer has also pleaded guilty to murdering an unidentified woman in 1992. The Happy Face Killer called her Claudia, but that may not be her real name.

Investigators believe that the Happy Face Killer’s last victim caught a ride with a truck driver and was hitchhiking. After an argument, the Happy Face Killer killed her and dumped her body in Riverside County, California.

According to a published article by NBC News, the woman killed by the Happy Face Killer is described as a white woman aged 25 to 35 years with brown or dyed blonde hair. The Happy Face Killer’s last victim was also a frequent hitchhiker likely from Southern California.

Officials hope someone may recognize her to help solve the mystery and bring her identity to light.

The Use Of DNA Technology

In a published article by 6ABC, Claudia’s body was discovered along Highway 95 in August 1992. Advances in DNA technology, her remains, and a recent jailhouse interview with Jesperson have aided investigators in the search for her identity.

Authorities have released a rendering of the shirt she was wearing and a unique tattoo on her thumb. Previous cases have used DNA technology to identify other victims.
