Romanian authorities charged social media influencer Andrew Tate with human trafficking and rape, along with his brother Tristan.
The Tate Brothers Detained Along With Two Others
Misogynist social media influencer Andrew Tate has been charged with human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group by Romanian authorities last Tuesday, along with his brother Tristan and two other individuals. The Tate brothers and all others involved have denied the charges. All four of them were taken into custody by Romanian police in December of last year, along with two Romanian women. Andrew and Tristan Tate were placed under house arrest last March for the investigation. The DIICOT, Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism, has accused the two brothers and two others of spearheading an organized crime group in the U.K., U.S., and Romania to carry out human trafficking operations.
According to DIICOT, seven victims were reported to be recruited by two of the four accused, all of which fell for their fake romantic gestures. The victims were then taken to houses where they were sexually exploited and abused physically and mentally. BBC News reported that Andrew Tate himself raped one of the alleged victims repeatedly.

Andrew Tate is a former martial artist and boxer well-known for his speeches on misogyny and violence across social media.
