Now that they’re trying to trade Trey Lance off, Kyle Shanahan and the Niners are being criticized for how they handled the situation poorly.
Including the trade via the NFL Draft that was a blockbuster and is blowing up in their faces.
In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Niners selected Lance with the third overall pick, but they could only do so after giving Miami a sizable number of picks.
The Niners traded their No. 12 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Nos. 29 and 102 in the 2022 NFL Draft, and No. 29 in the 2023 NFL Draft to acquire the No. 3 pick.
That’s right: San Francisco will be in shock over having an empty cupboard as the Seahawks try to overtake the Niners in the NFC West.
After giving up three first-round picks, the Niners are now having trouble finding a trading partner to trade Trey Lance off their roster.
The Times also reported that during the padded practice, the offense and defense got into two fights—the first of this camp—one of which involved receiver Dee Eskridge and safety Jerrick Reed, along with other players.
