A suspect has been arrested and charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in northern California forty years ago resulting in another cold case solved. Alfredo Carretero Jr., the suspect, was linked to the crime through DNA evidence making the cold case solved after many years.
The victim, Noelle Russo, was found beaten and deceased in 1983 and people have been waiting for the “cold case solved” news for forty years already. Despite collecting evidence and identifying persons of interest over the years, there were no previous arrests which resulted in no “cold case solved” news for many years.

Russo’s family has been notified of the arrest and requests privacy.
