The Merrimack Police Department was assisted at the scene, by nearby departments, as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATF), and the New Hampshire police explosive disposal unit, according to US News.

The water in a neighborhood pool moved as an effect of the blast, according to surveillance video acquired by Boston 25.
