A former Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer Caleb Rogers faces the possibility of spending the rest of his life behind bars. The 35-year-old Caleb Rogers was found guilty by a federal jury on Friday, July 14, for committing three separate casino robberies and stealing a staggering sum of over $165,000.
True Crime Daily reported that the charges against him include three counts of interfering with commerce through robbery and one count of displaying a firearm during a violent crime. If convicted on the firearm charge, Caleb Rogers could potentially receive a life sentence.
During the trial, it was revealed that Caleb Rogers’ own brother testified against him, stating that he participated in the first casino robbery alongside Caleb Rogers but not in the subsequent two incidents, according to AP News. Prosecutors presented arguments asserting that Caleb Rogers, burdened by significant debts and grappling with a gambling addiction, carried out the robberies.

Series of Casino Heists That Put Caleb Rogers in Prison
Between November 2021 and January 2022, Caleb Rogers successfully carried out two casino robberies, managing to escape with over $85,000. Meanwhile, his fellow police colleagues diligently worked to apprehend the elusive thief, as per Fox News.
However, in February 2022, during a third robbery at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Caleb Rogers came dangerously close to acquiring an additional $79,000. Fortunately, security guards intervened and apprehended him after a brief struggle outside the premises.
These details emerged as investigators and prosecutors shed light on the series of events surrounding Caleb Rogers’ criminal activities.
