In 2022, Taylor Schabusiness, 25, was found guilty of murdering her lover, Shad Thyrion, 24. During their tryst, Taylor Schabusiness choked him and later placed his decapitated head in a bucket at his mother’s house. The Wisconsin jurors only took less than an hour to verdict Taylor Schabusiness guilty of the murder.
Jury declared that Taylor Schabusiness who killed and played her lover’s dead body before dismembering the corpse, is not mentally ill.
In under an hour, the jury declared that Taylor Schabusiness was mentally competent when she strangled her boyfriend Shad Thyrion then mutilated his body with a bread knife.
In a testimony given by the police, Taylor Schabusiness told them of her and boyfriend Thyrion smoking meth and that Taylor Schabusiness admitted of strangling her boyfriend and not stopping as she saw him gasping for breath until minutes later Thyrion stopped breathing at once.
The medical examiner stated during the trial that Thyrion was strangled first before Taylor Schabusiness dismembered his dead body. Recently, bodycam footage from Green Bay police officers who responded to the incident was shown in court, revealing a bloody and gruesome scene.
Additionally, when Taylor Schabusiness was apprehended later that night at an apartment complex, her left hand was observed to be bloody on another body camera recording.

Evidences of Taylor Schabusiness’ obsession towards the infamous serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer were presented to the court during the trial.
In a CBS News report, in 2022 and 2023, Taylor Schabusiness was evaluated at Brown County Jail and was said to have various mental issues. Diane Lytton, an independent psychologist testified that Taylor Schabusiness exhibited signs of psychosis and had even thrown a plastic chair at Lytton during the evaluation.
Additionally, defense attorney Christopher Froelich stated that Taylor Schabusiness had a history of mental illness and was under a civil commitment order in April 2021.
Brown County Assistant District Attorney Caleb Saunders stated that in the trial of Taylor Schabusiness, the focus for jurors was on her mental state at the time she committed the crime, rather than her current mental state in 2021.
If the jury perceived that Taylor Schabusiness was not mentally competent, she would have been sent to a mental institution instead of being sentenced to prison.
Back in March, it was ruled that Taylor Schabusiness was fit to stand trial.
