Paycheck-to-Paycheck Lifestyle: Dilemma among Americans

Another dilemma is facing Americans. People are still on paycheck to paycheck lifestyle despite lower inflation rates.

Americans are still facing a serious problem despite the lower inflation rates. A Study by Fortune proved that 61 percent of Americans are still living paycheck to paycheck.

Ahmed Mumin, the Executive Director of the Seattle Rideshare Drivers Association claimed to wonder about the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle of the American. Even though inflation decreases which could be an advantage the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle is still rising.

Heather Barker, a teacher, also felt the same feeling with the majority. She felt that everything was very expensive and it was increasing.

Another study reported that the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle is coming from unnecessary spending. 21% of the people are in paycheck to paycheck because they can’t control spending their money on nonessential things.

However, the Washingtonians KIRO 7 claimed that they are suffering the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle in paying for necessities.

Mumin explained that the news may be reported that inflation is decreasing however it won’t change the pockets of the people. For him, when you went to the grocery you would spend $100 just to buy one bag from Safeway.

According to the survey, Inflation rates lowered from 9 percent a year ago to just over 3 percent.

For Baker, basic necessities such as going to the grocery store, gas, let alone eating out, or even taking with the kids to buy their school supplies are getting expensive. That is why, the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle can’t be broken.
