Russian Tennis Player Rublev, Advances To The Fourth Round Of The US Open

The US Open competition, which is currently taking place in New York, has seen the advancement of Russian Tennis Player Rublev, Andrey to the fourth round.

According to the article published by TASS, with a score of 3:6, 6:3, 6:1, and 7:5, eighth-seeded Russian Tennis Player Rublev defeated French tennis player Arthur Rinderknech in the third round of the competition. Russian Tennis Player Rublev will compete against unseeded British tennis player Jack Draper in the following round.

Russian Tennis Player Rublev (25), is currently ranked eighth in the world. Russian Tennis Player Rublev has 14 ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) championships, including two this year. The Russian tennis player Rublev’s best Grand Slam performance—and he made it to this stage of the competition eight times—was reaching the quarterfinals. Together with Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Rublev won the mixed doubles Olympic gold medal in 2021. He also helped the Russian team win the Davis Cup and ATP Cup.

In the world rankings, Rinderknech (age 28) is ranked 73rd. The Frenchman is an ATP tournament loser. His best Grand Slam performance came in the third round of the US Open.

According to AzerNews, from August 28 to September 10 in New York, the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center will host the 2023 US Open on outdoor hard courts. The prize pool for the competition is $65 million. The men’s and women’s singles champions at the 2023 US Open are Carlos Alcaraz of Spain and Iga Swiatek of Poland, respectively.

Due to the current sanctions policy, tennis players from Russia and Belarus are competing in the tournament as neutrals.
