Man Accused of Attacking Nuclear Station Security Officer Arrested
According to source, a man accused of being Doyle Wayne Whisenhunt, 66, from Lockesburg, Arkansas, has been arrested by the Oconee County Sheriff‘s Office in South Carolina. The arrest follows an incident where the man accused of driving through a fence at the Oconee Nuclear Station and attempting to hit a security officer with his vehicle, which took place on Thursday night.
The accused man was apprehended on Friday at an abandoned home in Pickens County, South Carolina. According to the sheriff’s office, the man accused of being Whisenhunt is accused of accelerating his Toyota Camry toward a security officer at the nuclear station, allegedly in an attempt to cause serious harm or death.
He is also accused of using his car to strike gates and fencing outside the secured area of the plant, causing damage.

Man Accused of Trespassing at Nuclear Plant Faces Attempted Murder Charges
The man accused of being Whisenhunt was not authorized to be on the property, and authorities have not yet disclosed a motive for his actions. He now faces charges of attempted murder, malicious injury to personal property, and unlawful entry into an enclosed place. Additionally, a hit-and-run charge is related to a car crash near the nuclear plant on the same day.
