Arrest Made in Shooting Death of Georgia High School Football Star Days Before State Championship

A’darius Jashawn Williams, 19, of Manchester, has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Brandon Smith, a standout football player for a Georgia high school. The incident occurred just a few days before Smith’s team’s scheduled state championship game in Atlanta. According to FOX 5 Atlanta sources, Williams has been booked into the Meriwether County Jail after allegedly shooting Smith during an argument.

A breakthrough occurred in the investigation as law enforcement apprehended the 19-year-old suspect linked to the shooting death of the Georgia high school football star. The victim, a well-regarded athlete in the community, was fatally shot under circumstances that have deeply affected the local area.

A’darius Jashawn Williams is accused of shooting and killing Brandon Smith, whose body was recovered on December 10 in a wooded area behind a Manchester home. Authorities suspect the event was the result of an argument.

Williams was arrested and is currently being held at the Meriwether County Jail. Days of research into the facts surrounding Smith’s unfortunate death led to the arrest.
