Rudy Farias Wants To Lose Contact With His Mother
Pauline Sanchez is speaking on behalf of Rudolph “Rudy” Farias, her 25-year-old nephew, who officials in Texas just disclosed had only been missing for one day as opposed to the eight years that the general public had assumed. Farias revealed that he wants to lose contact with his mother, Janie Santana, who, according to Houston police, reported her then-17-year-old son missing in March 2015, Sanchez reportedly said to NBC News.
Questions began to rise regarding the case shortly after it was announced on Sunday by the Texas Center for the Missing that Farias was actually alive. However, police stated that Farias had been residing at home with his mother the entire time during a news conference last Thursday afternoon. An HPD Lieutenant reported that Farias, who had vanished in 2015 while walking his dogs, came home the next day.
According to police, Farias and his mother had previously made contact with police and had provided authorities with bogus identities and birth dates. The lieutenant added that “Rudy’s mother continued to deceive police by remaining adamant that he was still missing.”

Does Rudy Farias Really Need To Lose Contact With His Mother?
The news that Farias had been reported missing stunned the neighbors, as they swore to have seen him in the area in recent years and had even spent time with him. According to Kisha Ross, their neighbor, Farias used to come into their garage and hang out with her cousin and son. Ross swore that Farias never went missing.
In contrast to other neighbors’ statements, several neighbors said that they hadn’t seen Farias in more than eight years, as reported by NBC News. According to family members who spoke to the news outlet, Farias was depressed when he was reported missing since he had lost his brother in a motorbike accident years prior.
Sanchez now claims that her nephew needs space from his mother to recover, which would mean that Farias would lose contact with his mother. Sanchez added in her interview with NBC News that Farias needed to improve his mental state, even if it would mean Farias would lose contact with his mother. She added that he is still traumatized from everything he went through.
