What are the most dangerous cities in Northern California? What are the safest cities? We examined the FBI’s most recent crime statistics and examined the state’s overall violent crime rate.
According to the article from Santa Rosa Law, Oakland’s reputation as a dangerous, crime-ridden city is well-deserved. In order to determine the rankings, the Benchmark team and us looked at a variety of crimes as well as the population of California’s cities.
To avoid having a sample size that was too small, the included cities in the study that had a minimum population of at least 30,000 people.
Divided the total population of each city in the state by the total number of violent crimes committed there to determine the rankings.
