The first place on the list of most dangerous cities in Washington is Fife, a Tacoma suburb with a serious crime problem. Locals in Tacoma, which was named one of the country’s “most walkable cities” in 2006, might disagree given the city’s high crime rate. Point Defiance Park could be dangerous for a solitary stroll. With a 1 in 118 chance of being assaulted in 2020, the city had the second-highest rate of violent crime in the state. Tacoma has nearly triple the national average for violent crime. So, be on the lookout in the City of Destiny, or else you might meet a terrible end.
