After receiving an upsetting call, an infant from Ohio has been found dead by authorities in the back of a garbage truck.
Newborn Found Dead By Police After Disturbing Call
After Ohio police received a troubling call last Thursday afternoon about human remains, officers who responded to the call soon found an infant at the back of a garbage truck. Officers initially stated in a press release that the infant is not older than a month after its birth. Danielle Steagall, a resident of the neighborhood where the truck was found, told WBNS that they heard an alarming scream from the waste management personnel.
Medics declared the newborn dead on the scene and police contained the area. The Ohio Bureau of Investigation stated that the infant’s remains were taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office of Montgomery County for a preliminary autopsy. Authorities stated that the cause of death is currently unknown.

Police’s Efforts To Identify the Infant
According to the latest update by the police, the autopsy results revealed that the infant was female and that the infant’s umbilical cord was still intact. Additional evidence was also taken to the Bureau’s laboratory for DNA analysis. Officials say that the complete results of the autopsy will not be available for a few more weeks.
Authorities assured the public that they are scrambling the neighborhood of the scene for any additional information regarding the newborn’s death, such as other witnesses or security footage. Currently, they are focused on the cause of death of the infant. Officials added that they are also concerned for the current well-being of the infant’s mother.
